1. I don't like the new UI colors to the health and energy bars - everything seems darker than the old one, which actually cause a bit of strain on the eyes.
2. I do like the bigger + signs in the party invite window.
3. I also like how the skill chargeup bars now turn yellow when a skill is completed...when things get tight timewise, I always wondered whether I effectively interrupted someone or not.
4. I like the nerf to the smiting skills, and I wouldn't be surprised that when Nightfall comes out that these become permanent. Smiting is definitely still feasible with the changes...but it's a bit weaker, which is a good thing.
5. Bring back the nekkid guy - I could've sword it was Caleb the Pontiff's long lost exhibitionist twin. (see Caleb's avatar)

I guess The changing colors on the action cast bar does make it easier to use interupts but still hurts eyes
Toooo many colors...can't....escape. Seriously though, I rely on those little red bars, and those few seconds that you spend trying to figure out wtf it's trying to say are a few seconds that are spent not interrupting or attacking, or removing hexes/conditions. It's not terrible, but did they ask me if it needed a change? I don't think it did, and a lot of other people don't think it did. I agree with Son of Morgoth, give us the option of using the "classic" view. Aside from my pvp acid trip though, I like the update, and the new classes have a lot of potential.
Ya, the colors are a pain and sort of a downfall for pvp, and pve, Anet should have an option in the interface where you can switch from original to this as an option, to suit people who prefer either of these.
The only change I didn't like is when you double-click on a dead pet. It used to say "Pet xxx is dead!", which is very informative, and now it says "I'm moving to pet xxx!", which is not very informative when the pet is dead. Besides, it just sounds kind of weird
Location: Guild Hall, Vent, Guesting, PvE, or the occasional HA match...

did i mention that i dont like the fact that they try and puss every build except iway - simply amazing.. and yet it happens again!!!
well technically they did nerf iway. If you read the updated notes for july 13th, the shout doesnt have the range it used too. we tested this to see what all the shout ranges work. you cant travel as far away from your dead pet for it to work. it has only about 3/4 of the range it had before. but yes still annoying that they nerf every oter build but the one that everyone has been bitching about for a year now.
i kinda like the color stuff new on the skills and stuff, wouldnt mind them taked off ether cuz it wasnt a broken thing as said before here, bus the skill lag is the mos anoyin thing ive had since i bought this game on 2005, whats wrong with anet man, i havnmt had problems in a year of gameplay, now all this bull, i dont get it why change whats perfect, this new lag between skills is unbearable, and i dont even have nothin against the brasilian carnival colors, its sad to see something you really like gettin ruined by someone bad day of creation.
sad sad sad.
I like some parts of the new interface, but most feel bulkier than before. The title and faction bars in the hero screen are also purple now, which is way worse than the previous blue.
Most monks dont have their party hotkeyed since they would rather use their keyboard to kite..... also its not default hotkeyed i doubt everyone knows about the hotkeys and that still doesnt argue against the colors being puketastic to look at and burntastic to your eyes.
1. The UI is complete crap, it is hard as hell to tell when people are casting now.
2. Smiting SHOULD NOT be nerfed. They already got it once, and what is still predominitably running in HA still? IWAY. Nerf that and leave smiting alone, god.
3. Where are the freakin titles???? We have to put them back on everytime we enter a town?? GG, thanks for that one ANET.
4. Skill caps weren't working, is this still the case? Another GG.
the game seem to lost it stablity since this patch, the half second delay from activing skills bugs me. Guild wars ITSELF doesn't feel right at the moment. it's annoy me.
For the most part I liked all the changes, and I think I was one in a thousand that loved the "new ranger" hair I got... In fact, losing the new hair is my only complaint.
I've had almost no lag during it all, and that's a change from the last PvP event.
Now that we can see Anet is able to change hair styles fairly quickly... how bout that stylist? *cough-hint-cough*
1. I do not like the new UI. Please give us the old UI back ANet. This one does hurt my eyes, and I think the colors make it harder to tell what is going on with your party. Give us back the old UI, please!
2. Microlag of about 1/4 second between selecting skill and activation. (This is a 2.8 GHz dual core machine with a 4 megabit per second internet connection, gig of ram, etc) I've never seen any lag before.
3. Popping noises in audio that I did not have before. Audio doesn't sound as good as it did before, but maybe that is just subjective.
4. Other problems like graphics anomalies reported by my fellow guildies that I have not yet seen personally.
The UI really needs to be put back the way it was as soon as possible. Please!
I read all the replies and have played the new UI . . .
My input on the whole shebang
so far I think the new build is not good, but it could the server traffic, I will give A-net a chance whilke the downloads are going on.
1) LAG LAG LAG!! A group of guildies went into FoW last night and we got pwned since 3 monks could not keep the others alive all due to the lag problems. I alos noticed that I could not queue up spells ( ie. hit breeze and orison on player A then select player B and hit heal other ) I had to wait for one spell to fire and half reset b4 the next would fire off. GGRRRR!!! I too hope this is only a result of the server traffic, if it continues then A-Net you need to go back to the former GW build, it worked fine.
2) I dont like the colors for the conditions. Give me back my up and down arrows on the health bars! The colors are distracting to me as I monk.
3) Did the boss colors go away?? if they did pls bring them back!
4) Don't care one iota about the hair mods lol, I am too busy playing the game. the appearance of my toon or the others is acedemic to me. Dont go make them look like south park! lol, but it is not a comcern to me.
5) indiferent regarding the darker screen when I die
6) what is this talk about nerfing my smiting skill!?! DONT!!! if I go out with henchies as a monk I need my smiting spells at all they can do! Lets face it, the henchies are pretty dumb so I have to help them out by calling targets for them otherwise I will be a twitching corpse!
7) I love this game! please dont make it so it is not fun for me to monk!
I've been playing a monk and don't see how the new GUI is hampering monking at all. I dont even notice the new changes when Im in the zone healing people.
